Our black PNG is as safe as other colors. Also, there are many factors that impact product heat absorption. Some of these factors include the duration in the sun and the directness of the sun. But rest assured our products are tested to the appropriate consumer product safety standards! We encourage you to lightly put your hand near, but not on, the tent to determine whether you feel the product is too hot. Also, the UV shade cover is SPF 50 when installed!
